Ivanhoe: Q2 Update on Makoko Copper Ore Resource Estimate Expected, High-Grade Copper Ore Discovered at Kitoko
According to mining.com, Africa-focused Ivanhoe Mines stated in an exploration update on Monday that the strike length of its Makoko copper ore deposit has exceeded 13 kilometers, and a new high-grade copper ore has been discovered at Kitoko. Ivanhoe is expected to invest $75 million in exploration, with the latest resource estimate for Makoko and preliminary evaluations for Makoko West and Kitoko anticipated in Q2.
