[SMM Electric Furnace Operating Rate: Steel Prices Weaken, Some EAF Steel Mills Face Losses] According to an SMM survey, as of February 25, the operating rate of 50 major electric furnace steel mills producing construction materials nationwide was 38.22% (up 5.06% WoW); the capacity utilisation rate was 39.33% (up 3.7% WoW); and the daily average production of construction materials was 87,600 mt (up 8,200 mt WoW).
