However, the excessive expansion has resulted in a passive supply-demand imbalance. According to SMM data, by 2024, China's enamelled wire industry capacity is expected to exceed 3.74 million mt, while annual demand is approximately 2.4 million mt, with an annual capacity utilisation rate of only 64%.
