Recently, Baosteel's high-grade, high magnetic permeability silicon steel technological transformation project has made new progress in construction. Currently, civil construction work has been completed in areas such as the RH vacuum refining furnace, KR hot metal pretreatment station, water pump house, and dust removal. Equipment installation and commissioning are underway, and the project is expected to reach full production by the end of this year. The total investment in Baosteel's high-grade, high magnetic permeability silicon steel technological transformation project is 600 million yuan. Through technological transformation, the project will construct one set of a 100-mt KR hot metal pretreatment station, one set of a dual-position mechanical vacuum pump RH vacuum refining furnace, one 1650mm single-strand slab caster, and related supporting facilities. After the project reaches full production, it will focus on producing high-end special steel series, including high-grade, high magnetic permeability silicon steel for new energy, high-strength corrosion-resistant automotive steel, corrosion-resistant steel for marine engineering, and high corrosion-resistant steel for battery packs. The project is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of approximately 1.5 billion yuan and profit tax of about 200 million yuan.
