US State Department spokesperson: Suspend the aid to Niger government

On August 8, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said at a briefing on August 7 local time that the United States assistance programs to the government of Niger were suspended because of the country’s military takeover, and these projects were worth more than $100 million, including development assistance, security assistance, and law enforcement assistance.
