This week, lithium battery separator material prices remained stable. Due to the prolonged price war and price suppression by battery cell manufacturers in the earlier period, separator material prices have been pushed to a relatively low range. Additionally, affected by the Chinese New Year, demand from downstream battery cell manufacturers declined, leading to a reduction in the operating rate of separator enterprises. Consequently, separator enterprises have shown a growing sentiment to stand firm on quotes. Facing this scenario of weak demand and supply, most downstream battery cell manufacturers have ceased price suppression to ensure procurement, resulting in stable separator prices this week. Looking ahead, with the gradual release of separator capacity, the separator market may still face an oversupply dilemma. Therefore, in order to compete for market orders, separator enterprises may adopt price reduction strategies in the future.
