Last week, solar cell prices plummeted, ending the structural differentiation market trend. The lowest price of PERC182 and PERC210 solar cells dropped to 0.4 and 0.5 yuan/w, respectively. In contrast, Topcon solar cells saw a smaller price decline, with the mainstream 182 model priced at 0.48-0.50 yuan/w. Despite weak spot trading, the OEM market thrived, with P-type OEM fees as low as 0.95-1 yuan/piece. Solar cells factories are struggling amid losses and increased production competition. With solar cells demand expected to further decline in December, OEM market competition intensifies. Small and medium solar cells factories, lacking cost advantages and facing potential production line closures, are experiencing declining operating rates.
