SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) – The market prices of silicon coal went down due to falling coal prices and sluggish silicon metal market. Except for relatively stable silicon coal prices in Xinjiang, prices in Shanxi and Ningxia fell to varying degrees. As of May 18, the ex-factory prices of silicon coal in Xinjiang were 2,000-2,300 yuan/mt, versus 1,300-1,400 yuan/mt in Shanxi, and 1,850-1,950 yuan/mt in Ningxia.The prices of silicon coal are expected to remain low in May.
