According to China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the retail sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in April were 527,000 units, up 85.6% year-on-year and down 3.6% on the month. Cumulative retail sales so far this year are 1.843 million units, up 36.0% year-on-year. In April, the domestic retail penetration rate of NEVs was 32.3%, up 6.6 percentage points from the 25.7% penetration rate in the same month last year.
