The National Meteorological Centre (NMC) renewed a blue alert for rainstorms at 6:00 on May 6. The NMC predicts that from 08:00 on May 6 to 08:00 on May 7, there will be torrential rains in central and southern Hunan, central and southern Jiangxi, southern Zhejiang, central and northern Fujian, northeastern Guangxi, northern Guangdong, and central Chongqing.
There will be heavy rains (100-110 mm) in some regions of northern Fujian. Some of the above-mentioned areas are accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall (the maximum hourly rainfall is 20-50 mm, and that in some regions can exceed 60 mm). There will be strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds in some areas.
