SHANGHAI, Dec 30 (SMM) - LMO price drop accelerated this week. Affected by falling lithium carbonate prices, the cost support of LMO continued to weaken. Downstream companies were in no mood to buy raw materials and mostly digested their own inventory instead. The current capacity utilisation rate in LMO industry is still at a low level. The LMO market will hardly improve in the short term. Spot prices of LMO (electronics) were between 136,000-142,000 yuan/mt this week, with the average price down 5,500 yuan/mt.
