SHANGHAI, Sep 19 (SMM) -  Battery separator prices were little changed last week. The top-tier battery separator producers maintained full capacity and accelerated the commissioning of their production lines, while battery makers were also expanding their capacity aggressively. Even though the prices of PVDF for coated separator have dropped, tight supply kept the prices of coated separator from falling as well. With the fourth quarter drawing near, a new round of price negotiations are currently under way. The slow capacity release will be the main bargaining chip for separator manufacturers to hike their prices. However, strategic customers will still take the upper hand in the price talks, and the prices are expected to remain stable in the short term.
