SHANGHAI, Sep 5 (SMM) - The prices of battery-grade nickel sulphate rose slightly last week. The price coefficient of MHP was raised slightly to 72-74% against the SMM battery-grade nickel sulphate price index. Nickel briquette became more cost effective due to the recent drop in nickel prices. The real-time costs of nickel sulphate solution was slightly above 37,000 yuan/mt based on the nickel prices on September 1. Therefore, the willingness to purchase nickel briquette may improve. That being said, as the profit of using nickel briquette is very thin at the current nickel sulphate prices, nickel briquette prices may gain little upward momentum.
