SHANGHAI, Sep 1 (SMM) – Power supply was restored in several provinces including Anhui, Hunan and Henn last week, and some primary lead smelters, that slightly reduced the production due to power rationing, are able to resume normal production this week. With regard to secondary refined lead, the output in Anhui has returned to the pre-power rationing level, with the daily output growing over 1,400 mt. Meanwhile, the power rationing out of high temperature in Sichuan and Chongqing was completely lifted, and the downstream lead-acid battery companies began to purchase.
To sum up, the lead market has seen increases in both supply and demand, booming the market sentiment.
