SMM September 5:
As of September 4, 2025, finished product inventories at secondary lead smelters stood at 12,600 mt, a decrease of 760 mt from the previous week. This week saw increased production cuts and halts at secondary lead smelters, making it difficult to accumulate inventories at producers' warehouses. Currently, smelters not only struggle to effectively build up finished product inventories, but the remaining stocks after meeting their own contract demands are also purchased by peer companies to fulfill long-term orders. Looking ahead to next week, the weekly operating rate of secondary lead smelters is expected to continue its downward trend. According to SMM's analysis and forecasts, finished product inventories at secondary lead producers' warehouses may maintain their declining trend next week.
