Recently, the Zhejiang Zhapu Economic Development Zone (Jiaxing Port Area) issued a notice on organizing the implementation of the "Unveiling and Commanding" initiative for the Yangtze River Delta Hydrogen Energy Expressway Demonstration Line.
The document stated that it encourages the large-scale regional operation of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on expressway routes, proposing to deploy unveiled tasks to establish a high-speed demonstration line in the Yangtze River Delta region. It aims to arrange innovative tasks for public support and large-scale demonstration applications, identify and cultivate a group of competitive entities with strong innovation capabilities adapted to market competition, and promote the large-scale demonstration application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the transportation sector.
Applicants are required to possess road transport operation qualifications, demonstrate large-scale operation capabilities, ensure vehicles are connected to the Jiaxing Hydrogen Energy Industry Big Data Platform, and have mature operation cases or customer evaluations.
Additionally, the hydrogen energy demonstration lines proposed by applicants must be located in the Yangtze River Delta region, with vehicles required to enter and exit from four expressway interchanges: Zhapu (Pinghu South), Dushan Port East, Dushan Port West, and Jiaxing Port Area along the G15 Shenhai Expressway. Applicants must commit to completing the declared tasks within the specified timeframe after accepting the unveiled assignment.
The document also specified that subsidies will cover the expressway tolls for hydrogen energy vehicles using designated routes and interchanges from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
The application deadline is September 1, 2025.
