Spot prices of #1 copper cathode against the front-month contract in North China today were at a discount of 90-50 yuan/mt, with an average discount of 70 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous trading day. Transaction prices ranged from 79,020-79,120 yuan/mt, averaging 79,070 yuan/mt, up 155 yuan/mt from the previous session. Recent declines in copper scrap supply have shifted some demand to copper cathode, leading to increased market activity today. Procurement sentiment for copper cathode in North China stood at 2.03 today, up 0.21 from the previous session, while sales sentiment was 1.95, up 0.13 ().
