Due to the current weak and volatile lead prices, secondary lead smelters have lowered their purchase quotes for waste lead-acid batteries. Recycling enterprises are cautious about selling due to fears of price drops, but the retirement volume of waste lead-acid batteries has shown mediocre performance, and the arrivals of raw materials for secondary lead smelters remain relatively low. Currently, the mainstream tax-inclusive purchase price for waste e-bike lead-acid battery scrap at smelters ranges from 10,100 to 10,250 yuan/mt.
There are not many market quotes for secondary crude lead, and the current ex-factory price for secondary crude lead without tax is around 15,700 yuan/mt. After the lead price drop, the enthusiasm for imported crude lead supplies has temporarily slowed down. Suppliers are observing the lead price trend and expecting to sell after a rebound in lead prices.
