Sungrow and Sunotec have agreed to deploy 2.4 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for solar projects across Europe.

Sungrow and Sunotec have agreed to deploy 2.4 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for solar projects across Europe. The systems will support grid stability and renewable energy integration at solar parks developed by Sunotec in Bulgaria and other European regions.

The portfolio includes multiple Bulgarian projects, some funded by Bulgaria's RESTORE program. Sungrow will supply its PowerTitan 2.0 BESS units, with SG350HX-20 inverters and MVS systems used in a hybrid PV-BESS project – marking Sungrow's first BESS installation in Bulgaria.

Sunotec CEO Kaloyan Velichkov noted the partnership focuses on improving renewable energy management. Sungrow's Regional Director Anastasios Gkinis stated the collaboration aims to accelerate clean energy deployment in the region.

Sunotec has completed over 650 solar projects totaling 11 GW. Sungrow had installed 740 GW of power converters globally by December 2024.
