On July 16, within the factory area of the high-performance electrical steel project (Phase I) of Guangxi Hongwang New Material Technology Co., Ltd., located in the Fangchenggang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the machinery roared. Technical personnel at the main control console were precisely operating the production equipment, and silver-gray non-oriented electrical steel was being orderly produced on the production line.
The total investment for this project (Phase I) is approximately 2.2 billion yuan. Construction commenced in September 2024, and trial production began in batches from June 25, 2025. Currently, the trial production is proceeding safely and orderly. The project is planned to produce 1.5 million mt of efficient and high-grade non-oriented electrical steel and high-end galvanized sheets & plates, with an annual output value exceeding 7 billion yuan.
