On July 18, 2025, BHP released its production and sales report for Q2 2025, which showed the following:
Production:iron ore (on a 100% basis) at the Pilbara operations was 77.48 million mt, up 14.2% QoQ and 0.9% YoY.
Sales: In Q2 2025, the total sales of iron ore (on a 100% basis) at the Pilbara operations were 76.723 million mt, up 14.9% QoQ and 1.1% YoY. Among these, under BHP's equity, the sales of were 46.545 million mt, and the sales of were 21.285 million mt.
By the end of Q2, BHP's production for the 2025 fiscal year (July 2024-June 2025) was 288 million mt, unchanged from the previous year, meeting the fiscal year target (282-294 million mt, on a 100% basis).
BHP's iron ore production target guidance for the 2026 fiscal year (July 2025-June 2026) is 284-296 million mt (on a 100% basis).
