From July 11, 2025 to July 17, 2025, the weekly operating rate of secondary lead in four provinces tracked by SMM was 37.85%, an increase of 2.38 percentage points WoW. This week, the operating rates in Jiangsu and Inner Mongolia changed relatively little, while the operating rate in Anhui increased by 4.95 percentage points and that in Henan increased by 0.91 percentage points. During the week, smelters lowered their purchase quotes for scrap batteries, prompting recyclers to sell off their scrap battery inventories. As a result, smelters' raw material inventories were replenished, and production increased. A smelter in east China is set to commence production soon, and there is an expectation for a further increase in the operating rate of secondary lead next week.
