Indian PV module maker Ahaan Solar has begun construction of a 2GW TOPCon module factory in the Rohnat Industrial Area, Haryana, with a total investment of INR 8 billion (approx. USD 95.8 million). The project will be implemented in two phases, with the first 600MW line expected to start production by mid-2025.

Founder Aniruddh Agrawal stated the factory is designed from the outset for TOPCon technology, citing 2–3% higher efficiency over PERC, bifacial rates over 85%, and improved temperature coefficients. The fully automated production line also allows for flexibility to switch to PERC or HJT as market demands shift.

Backed by green hydrogen firm Airox Nigen, the first phase spans 28,000 sqm with 12 smart lines covering the full module process. The second phase, launching in 2026, will add 1.4GW capacity and AI-driven inspection. The plant supports India’s solar manufacturing goals and plans vertical integration from silicon to module.
