SMM News on June 20:
This week, LME lead opened at $1,985/mt, initially touching a high of $2,016/mt. Mid-week, LME lead prices fluctuated downward, oscillating around the $1,980/mt level, with a low of $1,971/mt during the period. As of 15:30 Beijing time on June 20, 2025, it closed at $1,980.5/mt, down 0.6%.
This week, the SHFE lead 2507 contract opened at 16,915 yuan/mt, initially fluctuating upward to a high of 17,000 yuan/mt. The rise in social inventory of lead ingots due to delivery and poor purchase demand from downstream enterprises dragged down lead prices. Mid-week, SHFE lead prices dropped to a low of 16,750 yuan/mt, eventually closing at 16,810 yuan/mt, down 0.8%.
