Spot price of cobalt intermediate products slightly weakened [SMM Weekly Review of Cobalt Intermediate Products Market]
May 29, 2025, at 5:34 pm
[SMM Weekly Review of Cobalt Intermediate Products Market: Spot Prices of Cobalt Intermediate Products Slightly Weakened] On the supply side, mines continue to steadily supply long-term contract customers, while spot order quotes from traders have slightly adjusted downward. Despite various market rumors, the subsequent policies of the DRC have not yet been announced, which may only affect short-term trading sentiment, with no significant improvement in actual supply and demand. On the demand side, following the completion of a round of procurement in the early stage, downstream purchase willingness has been slightly low recently. Coupled with poor feedback on cobalt salt shipments, smelters have become more sensitive to raw material prices. This week, inquiries and buying interest for cobalt intermediate products have been moderate. It is expected that in the near future, spot prices of cobalt intermediate products may slightly decline.
