"Interest rate cut"! China's 1-year and 5-year LPR both lowered by 10 basis points in May

The LPR quotes for May were released, with both the 5-year and 1-year interest rates lowered by 10 basis points (BP).

On Tuesday, May 20, the People's Bank of China authorized the National Interbank Funding Center to announce that China's latest 1-year Loan Prime Rate (LPR) was 3.00%, down from 3.10% previously; the 5-year LPR was 3.50%, down from 3.60% previously.
