[SMM Spot Magnesium Ingot Report: Sluggish Trading, Magnesium Prices Hold Steady Today] SMM reported on May 14 that due to critically low inventories at some magnesium ingot smelters, magnesium ingot producers currently have a strong sentiment to stand firm on quotes. Today, mainstream quotations for 90 magnesium ingots in the main producing areas remained stable in the range of 17,400-17,500 yuan/mt, basically flat compared to the previous working day.
Reported by SMM on May 14, affected by critically low inventories at some magnesium ingot smelters, magnesium ingot producers currently have a strong sentiment to stand firm on quotes. Today, the mainstream quotations for 99.90% magnesium ingot in the main producing areas remained stable in the range of 17,400-17,500 yuan/mt, basically flat compared to the previous working day. It is worth noting that the supply of low-priced cargoes in the market is gradually decreasing, while transactions of high-priced cargoes are sluggish, with buyers and sellers at an impasse in price negotiations.
