Loss pressure led to a low willingness to sell among suppliers. Secondary lead in-plant inventory accumulated significantly this week. [SMM Secondary Lead Inventory Weekly Review]
Apr 25, 2025, at 4:03 pm
SMM April 25 News: As of April 25, 2025, the finished product inventories of secondary lead smelters reached 12,740 mt, an increase of 2,300 mt WoW. Most secondary lead smelters held back from selling due to loss pressure, and even if they shipped, the company's quotations remained firm. Spot order purchases in the downstream market leaned towards primary lead. The in-plant inventory increased significantly this week due to sluggish shipments from secondary lead enterprises. Additionally, the operating rate of secondary lead is expected to decline further next week, and the accumulation rate of lead ingot in-plant inventory may slow down. 》Order to view SMM metal spot historical prices
