SMM Lead Midday Review: Suppliers Struggle to Catch Up with Price Increases, Downstream Enterprises Show Insufficient Purchase Willingness for Spot Orders. SMM, April 21: Today, the SMM 1# lead average price increased by 50 yuan/mt WoW to 16,850 yuan/mt, with the price difference between primary metal and scrap at 75 yuan/mt. The mainstream ex-factory prices of refined lead were at a discount of 75-0 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price, and the ex-factory prices excluding tax were at 15,800-15,900 yuan/mt.

Today, the SMM 1# lead average price increased by 50 yuan/mt WoW to 16,850 yuan/mt, with the price difference between primary metal and scrap at 75 yuan/mt. The mainstream ex-factory prices of refined lead were at a discount of 75-0 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price, and the ex-factory prices excluding tax were at 15,800-15,900 yuan/mt. Downstream battery producers maintained just-in-time procurement, with some companies indicating that lead ingot inventory could meet this month's production. Additionally, suppliers reported poor recent transactions and struggled to catch up with price increases.
