SMM April 18 News: As of April 18, 2025, the finished product inventories of secondary lead smelters reached 10,440 mt, an increase of 1,360 mt WoW. Although the weekly production of secondary lead declined, suppliers showed a poor willingness to sell due to loss pressure, either quoting firmly or holding back from selling. As a result, downstream markets preferred spot orders of primary lead. The production of secondary lead is expected to decline further next week, and some suppliers anticipate a rebound in lead prices, which may increase their willingness to sell.
