Apr 17, 2025, at 9:04 am
On the evening of April 16 local time, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated in his routine video address that First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Svyrydenko reported on the progress of the mineral agreement negotiations. The Ukrainian government team and the US side achieved positive results in the cooperation of the economic partnership agreement, and the related legal matters have been largely finalized. Earlier that day, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Svyrydenko announced on her official social media platform that the technical teams of Ukraine and the US conducted in-depth research on the mineral agreement and made significant progress. She mentioned that both sides took a positive step in establishing the Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. She also stated that the teams would continue to work on the specific points of the agreement. Svyrydenko noted that the agreement needs to be approved by the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine.
