Secondary refined lead suppliers followed the market trend, with mainstream sources offered at a discount of 75-0 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price ex-factory. In Hunan, where the discount was larger, prices were 150 yuan/mt below the average, while in Guangdong, ex-factory quotes were at a discount of 80-0 yuan/mt.

Downstream battery producers maintained just-in-time procurement, and some secondary lead smelters held back from selling due to expectations of rising prices.
