On March 17, the winning bid result for the procurement of complete sets of equipment and ancillary facilities for the 100,000 mt liquid sunshine project's alkaline electrolyzer at China Coal Ordos Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. was announced. This tender was divided into three sections: Section One included 16 units of 1,200 Nm3/h alkaline electrolyzers (material code 240101000004) with four sets of 4,800 Nm3/h gas-liquid separation systems, two sets of 9,600 Nm3/h gas purification systems, and other ancillary facilities. Bid winner: Sunshine Hydrogen Technology Co., Ltd. Winning amount: 81.82 million yuan Section Two included eight units of 1,200 Nm3/h alkaline electrolyzers (material code 240101000004) with two sets of 4,800 Nm3/h gas-liquid separation systems, one set of 9,600 Nm3/h gas purification system, and other ancillary facilities; four units of 1,200 Nm3/h alkaline electrolyzers (material code 24010100015) with one set of 4,800 Nm3/h gas-liquid separation system, one set of 7,800 Nm3/h gas purification system, and other ancillary facilities. Bid winner: CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd. Winning amount: 56.506 million yuan Section Three included eight units of 1,200 Nm3/h alkaline electrolyzers (material code 240101000004) with two sets of 4,800 Nm3/h gas-liquid separation systems, one set of 9,600 Nm3/h gas purification system, and other ancillary facilities. Bid winner: Sany Hydrogen Co., Ltd. Winning amount: 43.04 million yuan The total investment in the 100,000 t/a liquid sunshine - carbon dioxide green hydrogen to methanol technology demonstration project by China Coal Ordos Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. was 4.9 billion yuan, with a new energy capacity of 625,000 kW and a hydrogen production capacity of 21,000 t/a. The project is located in Wushen Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It fully utilizes electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power to produce green hydrogen through electrolysis. Then, it converts the purified and refined carbon dioxide from chemical plant exhaust gases and green hydrogen into methanol, achieving large-scale consumption of green electricity and green hydrogen, as well as the resource utilization of carbon dioxide. After the project's completion and operation, compared to coal-to-methanol projects of the same scale, it can reduce coal consumption by 140,000 t of standard coal annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 500,000 t. Through the full industrial demonstration process of wind and solar power generation, water electrolysis for hydrogen production, and the conversion of carbon dioxide with green hydrogen to methanol, the project provides an industrial solution for carbon dioxide reduction and resource utilization in high-energy-consuming and high-carbon-emitting industries. It also addresses pollution issues upstream and downstream of the project from the source, promoting the green and low-carbon development of enterprises, with significant demonstration and leading roles.
