March 17: SHFE Aluminum Adjusted at High Levels, Aluminum Billet Processing Fees Slightly Rebounded [Daily Review of Spot Aluminum Billets]

Aluminum billet inventory: According to SMM statistics, as of March 17, the aluminum billet inventory in major domestic consumption areas stood at 297,500 mt, down 500 mt WoW from Thursday. SHFE aluminum remained in a high-level consolidation today, with processing fee market quotations showing signs of recovery. At the beginning of the week, purchasers maintained a wait-and-see attitude. During the session, SHFE aluminum continued to decline, prompting suppliers to lower processing fees for sales, resulting in moderate market transactions. Today, Foshan aluminum billet market was quoted at 120–170 yuan/mt, up 50 yuan; Wuxi market processing fees were quoted at 180–230 yuan/mt, up 80 yuan; Nanchang region processing fees were quoted at 100–150 yuan/mt, up 30 yuan.
