[SMM Analysis] Review of This Week's Waste Battery for Cascade Utilization Price Trends, 2025.02.24-2025.02.27
Feb 27, 2025, at 3:06 pm
[SMM Analysis: A Review of This Week's Cascade Utilization Price Trends] This week, prices in the cascade utilization market remained generally stable. In terms of supply, battery cell manufacturers gradually resumed production, trader activity increased, and the supply of waste battery cells for cascade utilization rebounded, though it has not yet reached peak season levels. On the demand side, cascade utilization enterprises began to gradually resume procurement of waste battery cells for cascade utilization. However, due to supply exceeding demand in the market, upstream enterprises are expected to stand firm on quotes after the holiday. Cascade utilization producers remain cautious about purchasing high-priced battery cells and generally prefer to make just-in-time procurement rather than buying at high prices. In the short term, prices are expected to remain stable, but market transaction volumes remain sluggish, with both supply and demand showing weak performance. As battery cell production and retirement volumes are expected to increase in the future, the resulting supply growth may lead to further declines in the prices of waste battery cells for cascade utilization.
SMM February 27 News:
This week, the cascade utilization market prices remained stable overall. In terms of supply, battery cell manufacturers gradually resumed production, traders became more active, and the supply of waste battery cells for cascade utilization gradually rebounded, though it has not yet reached peak season levels. On the demand side, cascade utilization enterprises began to gradually resume procurement of waste battery cells for cascade utilization. However, due to supply exceeding demand in the market, upstream enterprises showed a tendency to stand firm on quotes after the holiday. Cascade utilization producers remained cautious about purchasing high-priced battery cells, generally unwilling to buy at high prices and only making just-in-time procurement as necessary. In the short term, prices are expected to remain stable, but market transaction volumes remain sluggish, with both supply and demand showing weak performance. With the anticipated growth in battery cell production and retirement volumes in the future, increased supply may lead to further declines in the prices of waste battery cells for cascade utilization.
