SMM February 18 News:
Rare Earth Ore
Prices: The price of rare earth carbonate is approximately 35,200 yuan/mt, monazite is around 39,900 yuan/mt, and medium-yttrium, europium-rich ore standard ore is about 185,000 yuan/mt.
Supply and Demand: Currently, the activity in the rare earth oxide market has declined. Prices of ore-end products remain relatively stable amid slightly tight supply.
Rare Earth Oxides
Prices: The mainstream quotation range for Pr-Nd oxide is 433,000-434,000 yuan/mt; dysprosium oxide's mainstream transaction price is around 1.7 million yuan/mt, and terbium oxide is quoted at approximately 6.08-6.12 million yuan/mt.
Supply and Demand: Yesterday, rare earth oxide prices continued to fluctuate downward slightly. At the beginning of the week, the activity of inquiry and quotation in the rare earth market was low, with most participants adopting a wait-and-see attitude and weak transaction willingness. Actual transaction prices remained relatively stable overall.
Rare Earth Metals
Prices: The mainstream quotation for Pr-Nd alloy is approximately 532,000-535,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium iron prices corresponding to oxide quotations are around 1.68-1.7 million yuan/mt, and terbium metal is quoted at approximately 7.55-7.6 million yuan/mt.
Supply and Demand: Yesterday, metal transaction prices showed signs of a downward shift in the transaction center within the range, following oxide prices. Suppliers were not actively quoting, and there were a few low-price transactions on the part of traders.
Magnetic Materials
Prices: NdFeB blank prices—NdFeB blank N38 (Ce) closed at 139-149 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40M closed at 185-195 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40H closed at 189-199 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 45SH (Ce) closed at 239-259 yuan/kg.
Supply and Demand: Yesterday, rare earth prices remained generally stable. The enthusiasm for procurement in the magnetic materials market was still sluggish, with enterprises focusing on pre-holiday order production. Downstream demand grew slowly, and the market overall showed a wait-and-see attitude.
NdFeB Scrap
Prices: PrNd recycled from NdFeB scrap closed at 447-457 yuan/kg; dysprosium recycled from NdFeB scrap closed at 1,608-1,635 yuan/kg; terbium recycled from NdFeB scrap closed at 5,109-5,178 yuan/kg.
Supply and Demand: Yesterday, mainstream quotations in the scrap market remained stable. Market sentiment began to loosen, and separation enterprises actively replenished inventory amid falling prices. Overall prices remained steady.
