SMM February 7 News: This week, the operating rate of zinc oxide was 33.63%, up 27.91% WoW. Raw material side, zinc prices showed a significant increase during the week. Zinc oxide plants primarily consumed raw materials purchased before the holiday, leading to a slight decline in overall raw material inventories. Finished product inventories, after the holiday, enterprises resumed work and continued delivering finished products, with some enterprises seeing further decreases in finished product inventories. Orders side, this week marked the first week of post-holiday production resumption. End-user downstream enterprises had not fully recovered, and some zinc oxide plants resuming production after the holiday were still fulfilling pre-holiday orders, resulting in poor overall performance of new orders. Operating side, starting mid-week, zinc oxide plants gradually resumed production, with an increase in production days WoW, leading to a rebound in this week's operating rate compared to last week. As the pace of production resumption progresses, the operating rate of zinc oxide plants is expected to continue recovering next week.
