[SMM ESS] DC Side Prices Remain Stable

[SMM Analysis] This week, the prices of DC-side battery cabins remained stable overall. Specifically, the average price of 0.5C 5MWh battery cabins was 0.433 yuan/Wh, unchanged MoM; the average prices of 3.42MWh and 3.77MWh battery cabins were both 0.435 yuan/Wh, down 0.5% WoW.
This week, the prices of DC-side battery cabins remained stable overall. PetroChina's centralised procurement project announced the winning bid result. On January 17, 2024, the list of candidates for the 1.125GW/2.5GWh energy storage system centralised procurement by PetroChina was released, with a total of 13 companies shortlisted across four sections. The overall bid price range was 0.43-0.96 yuan/Wh.
PetroChina's tender was divided into four packages: 0.25C/0.5C/0.5C grid-forming type/1C energy storage systems. For the 0.25C system (150MW/600MWh), the requirements included battery cells ≧280Ah and battery cabins ≧3MWh. The average bid price was 0.465 yuan/Wh, with 12 companies shortlisted. CATL submitted the highest bid at 0.53 yuan/Wh, while the lowest bid was 0.43 yuan/Wh.
For the centralised/string-type 0.5C system (800MW/1600MWh), the requirements included battery cells ≧280Ah and battery cabins ≧3MWh. A total of 12 companies were shortlisted, with an average bid price of 0.505 yuan/Wh. CATL submitted the highest bid at 0.58 yuan/Wh, while the lowest bid was 0.43 yuan/Wh.
For the 0.5C grid-forming type system (125MW/250MWh), the average bid price was 0.593 yuan/Wh. CATL submitted the highest bid at 0.71 yuan/Wh, while the lowest bid was 0.49 yuan/Wh.
For the 1C system (50MW/50MWh), the requirement for battery cells was ≧150Ah. The average bid price was 0.838 yuan/Wh, with 9 companies shortlisted. Among them, Sungrow, HyperStrong, CATL, and Goldwind Zero Carbon all submitted bids exceeding 0.9 yuan/Wh, while the lowest bid was 0.6 yuan/Wh.
