According to data, the lithium carbonate 2505 most-traded contract opened at 78,740 yuan/mt and closed at 79,100 yuan/mt, with a trading volume of 204,887 lots and an open interest of 219,211 lots, an increase of 17,853 lots compared to the previous trading day. SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate spot prices on the day were quoted at 75,500–77,200 yuan/mt, with an average price of 76,350 yuan/mt, showing a slight rise compared to the previous working day. From the trend, lithium carbonate prices opened high and slightly climbed before fluctuating throughout the day. After a brief fluctuation in the afternoon, prices surged rapidly, then fluctuated downward, and remained volatile near the close, ultimately closing up 0.48%.
