Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 29, XPENG hosted the "P7+ Electric Technology Conference" in Guangzhou, detailing the innovative energy management system of its latest model, the XPENG P7+.

XPENG emphasized its strategic decision against "stacking batteries," instead focusing on optimizing efficiency through advanced technology. The company aims to ensure each kilowatt-hour of power delivers the highest range, promising a cost-effective, intelligent energy experience for users. XPENG also plans to further extend the vehicle's range through OTA updates.

The P7+ achieves an impressive 10 km range per kWh through a set of four core energy management principles: advanced body design, efficient battery & electric motor & electric control unit management, XPENG's proprietary X-HP 3.0 intelligent thermal management system, and precise driving control. These innovations contribute to an additional 136.5 km range on a single charge.

Manufactured with a 16,000-tonne die-casting process, the P7+ sets a record for the largest mass-produced casting scale, integrating 167 parts and reducing weight by 30 kg, enhancing range by 8 km.

Further aerodynamic improvements, including a 0.206 Cd drag coefficient, add 23.3 km to the range. The P7+ also debuts Formula E low-rolling-resistance tires, adding another 9 km in range.

Equipped with XPENG's latest 800V system, the P7+ utilizes oil-cooled lubrication and an SiC power module to increase efficiency, gaining an additional 33.6 km in range.

XPENG's X-HP 3.0 thermal management optimizes the vehicle's response across five scenarios, adding a further 45 km in range.

Beyond the improvements in the vehicle's core electric technologies, XPENG continues to expand its charging network. Currently operating over 1,620 self-operated supercharging stations in more than 420 cities, XPENG plans to expand its network to over 10,000 stations by 2026.
