According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in August 2024, the domestic import volume of primary aluminum was approximately 163,000 mt, up 25.7% MoM and up 6.5% YoY. From January to August, the cumulative import volume of primary aluminum was about 1.512 million mt, up 100.2% YoY.

From January to August, the cumulative export volume of primary aluminum was about 62,000 mt, down around 41.3% YoY.
