Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 10, SAIC-GM-Wuling’s Baojun brand officially put the Yunhai intelligent SUV onto the market. The new model offers a total of four variants in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid electric powertrains, with prices ranging from 109,800 yuan to 133,800 yuan.
Notably, the Yunhai lineup comes standard with an advanced intelligent driving system based on Chengxing Platform 7V computing power solution and Chengxing Intelligent Driving 2.5 software from Zhuoyu Technology (former DJI Automotive).
The carmaker said the Baojun Yunhai is the industry's first model to feature a mid-level computing two-stage end-to-end model in mass production. This approach transforms traditional multi-neural network perception tasks into a unified perception network. Additionally, the prediction and decision-making model, which was originally rules-based, now integrates neural networks with rules for safety assurance, forming a two-stage end-to-end system that handles all driving tasks.
The Chengxing Intelligent Driving 2.5 software used by the new model includes a nationwide intelligent driving map based on standard definition base maps. Coupled with an optimized navigation map and an integrated model for prediction and decision planning, the Baojun Yunhai’s system enhances preemptive judgments for smoother and safer lane changes, merging, and exit maneuvers at high speeds.
The Baojun Yunhai also features Zhuoyu’s unique binocular three-in-one perception network, which combines dynamic and static target recognition with an occupancy network enhanced by stereo vision. This system provides superior generalization capabilities compared to traditional monocular systems, even approaching the performance of LiDAR, significantly improving safety in diverse and unforeseen scenarios.
