This week, rare earth prices showed strong performance, mainly influenced by news of reduced supply, with Pr-Nd prices rising significantly. Due to high prices, trading activity experienced a brief lull. However, most traders still had a strong price outlook for Pr-Nd, making suppliers cautious in their shipments, further supporting the price increase. Specifically, although the transaction prices of Pr-Nd alloy were still lower than those of Pr-Nd oxides, this did not affect the overall bullish trend in the market.
Dysprosium and terbium prices were relatively weaker compared to Pr-Nd this week, with overall inquiry and offer activity being low. Buyers pressed for lower prices, and some holders, eager to sell, actively reduced prices, weakening the support for dysprosium and terbium prices. There may still be some downward space in the price outlook.
