Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 25, Dongfeng Motor Corporation signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Huazhong University of Science and Technology. This agreement includes three sub-agreements for establishing a joint research institute, co-developing outstanding engineers, and sharing high-level talent, along with the unveiling of the joint research institute.
The partnership aims to leverage each party's strengths in technical research, talent cultivation, and exchange. The collaboration will focus on training exceptional engineers, jointly recruiting and nurturing high-level talent, and striving for groundbreaking research achievements in new energy and intelligent connected vehicle sectors.
Zhou Zhiping, General Manager of Dongfeng Motor, highlighted the long-standing cooperation between Dongfeng Motor and Huazhong University of Science and Technology in areas such as automotive-grade chips, integrated die-casting, and hydrogen engines. Both entities have a stable partnership as early participants in the national engineering master’s and doctoral training reform pilot program.
This agreement signifies a deeper collaboration between the two entities, focusing on joint capacity building, research projects, sharing outcomes, and talent development. This partnership is expected to accelerate the growth of strategic emerging industries, such as new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, contributing significantly to local economic and social development, and advancing the modernization of the industrial system.
