On June 11, SMM learned that Shandong Humon started a public tender for the sale of 11.0885 tons of bismuth ingot. According to official information, this batch of bismuth ingot is non-standard, with a bismuth content of about 99.95%, and some element contents are not within the national standard range. The bismuth ingot is currently in the plant of Shandong Humon Smelting Co., Ltd. The official has not yet provided the starting price for the tender, but the delivery method is ex-works, and the freight is also borne by the buyer. The buyer must pick up the goods by June 22. If unable to pick up, the buyer can transfer the full payment to the seller's account before the specified time. The bidding was concluded by 11:30 am on June 12, 2024.
Currently, with prices soaring for bismuth ingot, Shandong Humon has only released a bid volume of about 11 tons, indicating that the producer is holding back cargoes and the inventory is also quite tight. Many market participants believed that the possibility of a successful tender was high.
