Shanghai (Gasgoo)- SAIC-GM-Wuling ("SGMW") officially announced today its latest generation of new energy commercial vehicle (NECV)-- the Wuling Yangguang. The vehicle made its debut with the innovative Wuling Red No. 1 battery, marking the company's first NECV model built on an entirely new native platform.
Embodying a fresh design language, the Wuling Yangguang showcases a front end with a touch of passenger car dynamics, complemented by a square-edged rear design that creates a swooping, dynamic posture. The model measures 4,985mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,975mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,050mm, and features LED headlights and fog lights. Additionally, the new vehicle offers a choice of two exterior colors: Mountain Sea Blue-Gray and Polar White.
In its debut, the Wuling Yangguang is the inaugural model to carry the Wuling Red No. 1 Battery specially developed for NECVs. The company claims that the new battery is the first in its class to utilize liquid cooling technology, offering enhanced compatibility with the evolving needs of commercial vehicle users in the new era. Currently, the new battery has gone into mass production.
The Wuling Yangguang boasts a spacious 6.5m³interior, with a cargo compartment length of 2,830mm, a maximum width of 1,680mm, and a height of 1,365mm. The vehicle adopts a cage-type body and is equipped with 12 layers of reinforced tire fabric tires.
