Codelco has reached contractual agreements with three labour unions, avoiding the risk of a strike. Two of the contract agreements, reached with two unions at the Ventanas refinery, were approved by more than 70% of voters and will last for 36 months. Another is in Santiago, where the supervisory union, which has been in the formal negotiation stage with Codelco, approved a 30-month contract with a 92% vote.
