On December 12, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the operation status of the national photovoltaic manufacturing industry from September to October 2023.

National polysilicon production reached 236,600 mt from September to October, a year-on-year increase of 90%.

National silicon wafer output reached 87.95GW from September to October, a year-on-year increase of 61%.
Ntional crystalline silicon battery production reached 83.81GW from September to October, a year-on-year increase of 78.7%.


National crystalline silicon module output reached 79GW from September to October, a year-on-year increase of 86.7%.

Domestic photovoltaic product prices have kept falling since the second half of the year. From January to October, the prices of polysilicon and module products fell by 60% and 40% respectively. The export growth rate of some photovoltaic products has slowed down. The risk of overcapacity in mid- to low-end PV products requires great attention.
