For the week ending December 7, lepidolite prices fell further. This decline was driven by dropping lithium salt prices, squeezing lepidolite mine profits and dampening shipping enthusiasm. The cost of production exceeded lepidolite's selling price for some mines, prompting production line shutdowns and supply cuts. On the demand side, falling lithium salt prices and ongoing lithium slag processing challenges reduced output at some smelters in Jiangxi and lowered their lepidolite purchase. Consequently, both lepidolite supply and demand went down. The downward trend in lepidolite prices is expected to persist.
