An official from the National Economic Comprehensive Department of the National Development and Reform Commission answered reporters' questions today on the current macroeconomic situation. According to him, macroeconomic indicators have performed well, and the economic aggregate has grown rapidly; China's economic development still has many favorable conditions and supporting factors. Generally speaking, since the beginning of this year, China's economy has overcome difficulties and challenges and withstood downward pressure. The economic recovery has shown the characteristics of twist and turns. The overall economic performance has rebounded for the better. China will contribute to one third of global economic growth this year and remain one of the world’s largest growth engines.
